How it works

From choosing a card to redeeming it

Five steps, one order reference, and a code that does not exist until your payment is confirmed. Here is exactly what happens at each stage, and how long it usually takes.

Delivery times
Most gift cards reach the recipient's inbox within minutes. Delivery is an estimate rather than a guarantee, because it depends on payment confirmation, fraud screening and merchant fulfilment.
  1. Step 1

Choose a brand and a value

Every listing shows the denominations the issuing merchant supports, the validity period, the redemption territory and any excluded outlets or product lines. Nothing is hidden behind a checkout step.

  2. Step 2

    Add the recipient

Recipient name and email, your name as sender, an optional message and a delivery date. Each basket line is one recipient, so a single order can cover several people with different values.

  3. Step 3

    Pay on the hosted page

Checkout hands you to the payment provider's secure hosted page for card entry and 3-D Secure. Vouchora never sees or stores your full card number.

  4. Step 4

    Codes are issued server-side

Only after the payment result is confirmed does our server request and attach a single-use code to the order. Codes never exist in the basket, the receipt or the order lookup.

  5. Step 5

    Delivery and redemption

The recipient receives the card with the merchant's redemption instructions. You receive a separate purchase receipt with the order reference — and no code.

What arrives in the recipient's inbox

  • The brand, the AED value and the single-use code
  • Step-by-step redemption instructions from the issuing merchant
  • The validity period and expiry date
  • The redemption territory and any excluded outlets or product lines
  • Your message and sender name, if you added one
  • A support route if the code cannot be redeemed

Why an order may be delayed

  • Payment remains pending with the card issuer or bank.
  • The order triggers additional risk review or identity verification.
  • The issuing merchant's fulfilment service is temporarily unavailable.
  • The requested denomination is out of stock with the supplier.
  • The recipient's mail server is greylisting, filtering or quarantining the message.

If an order is held, our team contacts the purchaser with an update rather than leaving the order silent.
